Parish of Neston
Sunday 12th December
We are open for public worship tomorrow
at St Mary & St Helen’s @ 8.00 and 10.45
at St Thomas’s at 9.30.
Kids’ Club is at 9.30 at St Michael’s
And Christingle is at St Mary & St Helen’s Church @ 16.00 (booking required – see attached P&A)
It is now still mandatory to wear a face covering during services (unless you have an exemption or leading the services).
Please follow the directions of those leading the service, the church wardens etc. to enter church, to be seated, to receive communion and to leave etc.
There will normally be no need to book a place in advance (except for the Christingle service) but please arrive in good time to help prepare for worship in these different circumstances.
We plan to stream the 10.45 service from St Mary & St Helen’s Church live.
There will be a midweek Holy Communion service in St Mary & St Helen’s Church on Wednesdays at 1.30pm.
Our church buildings are closed unless services are being held in them.

Other ways to Worship
Parish of Neston
The streamed service this week is on Sunday at 10.45 hrs.
Message from the Vicar, Alan
I find the quickest way to find the live streamed service is by searching ‘ YouTube Neston Parish ' then the date i.e.. '13th’' (for this Sunday) in my browser. In the list of videos that come up the current one should show. Sometimes the new stream doesn’t immediately show up in the YouTube Parish of Neston channel. However, if you prefer to just click a link all the videos are available from this link
The current service will appear here, but this does seem to take a little time.

· Daily Hope is the service launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop intends that it will continue for the foreseeable future. In particular, please draw it to the attention of people who don’t have online facilities. This is a FREE national phone line as a simple new way to bring worship and prayer into people’s homes while church buildings are closed because of coronavirus, particularly if people don’t have internet access. The telephone number is 0800 804 8044.

Hope those who have them will enjoy opening their Advent Calendars as we look forward to celebration of the coming of Jesus as a little baby, and listen again to the song of the Angels: "Peace on earth and goodwill to all people"
Hello Everyone! This is the last week before Advent begins when we think of Jesus as the King of the Kingdom of Heaven. It's sometimes called the Kingdom of Love, as those who belong to this Kingdom can be recognised because they treat other people with loving kindness. Jesus told the parable of the sheep and goats to show the difference between people who really care for others and those who don't. The most challenging aspect of this parable for us is that Jesus tells us that whatever we do for others, because he is with them, we do it for him.
Here is the link for the song today: https://youtu.be/-T1CLlMjiTw
He's got the whole world in his hands. Hope you and the children are all well and haven't had to miss any more school lessons! We are hopeful that our Church will be open again after we come out of lockdown. I'll let you know. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the very special story today - it's one of my favourites. Lynne x
