Other ways to Worship

Parish of Neston

The  streamed service this week is on Sunday at 10.45 hrs.

Message from the Vicar, Alan

I find the quickest way to find the live streamed service is by searching ‘ YouTube Neston Parish ' then the date i.e.. '13th’' (for this Sunday) in my browser. In the list of videos that come up the current one should show. Sometimes the new stream doesn’t immediately show up in the YouTube Parish of Neston channel. However, if you prefer to just click a link all the videos are available from this link

The current service will appear here, but this does seem to take a little time.

Prayer

·         Our parish prayer group will meet next week on 18th December. It meets on zoom for Evening Prayer on Fridays at 5pm. We welcome new ‘Zoomers’. Just click on this link and wait for the host to let you in: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88488184705?pwd=ZE5EbFp0SFNSc0FJc2tubldCRXQzZz09  Meeting ID: 884 8818 4705 Password: neston

·         Daily Hope is the service launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop intends that it will continue for the foreseeable future. In particular, please draw it to the attention of people who don’t have online facilities. This is a FREE national phone line as a simple new way to bring worship and prayer into people’s homes while church buildings are closed because of coronavirus, particularly if people don’t have internet access. The telephone number is 0800 804 8044.

Every blessing

Lynne

Hello Everyone! This is the last week before Advent begins when we think of Jesus as the King of the Kingdom of Heaven. It's sometimes called the Kingdom of Love, as those who belong to this Kingdom can be recognised because they treat other people with loving kindness. Jesus told the parable of the sheep and goats to show the difference between people who really care for others and those who don't. The most challenging aspect of this parable for us is that Jesus tells us that whatever we do for others, because he is with them, we do it for him.

Here is the link for the song today: https://youtu.be/-T1CLlMjiTw

He's got the whole world in his hands. Hope you and the children are all well and haven't had to miss any more school lessons! We are hopeful that our Church will be open again after we come out of lockdown. I'll let you know. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the very special story today - it's one of my favourites. Lynne x
